Is adding false lips to a rim a thing now?
I bet this guy will be very popular at the Wörthersee with these on his Lupo, though.

STILL stretched, but at least adding a fake lip is a marginally better option to get the look

That’s the newest upgrade to allow vehicles to ride railroad tracks.

Why????
I don’t understand people sometimes.

With that function in mind, I’d almost buy some.

Reminds me of back in the day when slamming trucks was cool. And then it became so accessible and easy to do so it wasn’t cool anymore. I’m by no means saying stretched tires/stance was ever cool, but maybe this will kill the game.

The same guy that told me rotary engines suck also told me I need to respect this car.

I just don’t get why people modify their cars in ways that reduce their functionality, especially if the car is their daily.
Cambered and stretched? Why? You’re reducing the lifespan of your tires. Stance? Why? You’re going to ruin the crap out of the underside of your car.
Like... I’ve got the one car and I live in Texas, where everything is approximately 4551231235457712312 miles apart. If my car is out of commission, I’m fucked.
I dunno. Maybe I’m just an old. Heh.

Rotary engines suck.
Then squish
Then bang
Then blow (the apex seals)
But you probably shouldn’t respect this car. I’m hoping this car is a joke and not taken seriously .

This car makes me want to punch things.

I don’t get stretched tires? Is this because you can’t afford the proper size for the rim? Or because the size you want would make them rub? I am not trying to belittle on the people who do this, I just have literally no idea why you would destroy the dynamics of your car on purpose.
If someone could fill me in, that would be great.
Also, those rims are a bad idea.

That is the stupidest fucking thing I’ve ever seen in my life. The next time somebody tells me ‘there are many styles, respect them all’ I’m going to unfold the copy of this picture I’ll carry in my pocket the rest of my life, shove it in their face, and scream “HOW?!? HOW DO I RESPECT THIS?!?! TELL ME HOW!!!”

I believe it started off as “I just bought wider wheels but I can’t afford tires yet, I’ll just stretch my old ones on there for now.”. Either that or “My tires are rubbing on my fender on my lowered car, I’ll just get skinnier tires that won’t rub.” Either way something borne out of a penny-pinching move turned into a subculture.

You know that scene in star wars where R2 makes all those beeping sounds which crescendo into a faint whine/groan and then he falls over?
That was me in my office chair just now.

Do not like. But then again, it is a person enjoying their car in their own way... more power to them.
